With the Euros still fresh in the memory, Mark Sampson’s Lionesses will begin their qualifying campaign next Tuesday against Russia. Jade Moore, Jo Potter, Fara Williams and Mary Earps have all been selected for England’s opening World Cup Qualifier, making it the first time in Reading Women’s history that four players have been selected for the England seniors on a single occasion. The Lionesses will face Russia in their first qualifier on the 19th September in Tranmere at Prenton Park (Kick off 7pm).

Rachel Furness has met up with Northern Ireland teammates in Belfast before flying out to Oslo on Tuesday, in preparation for Friday’s WCQ against Norway, which will take place at the Fredrikstad Stadium. Furness will then travel back to Ireland for their clash against the Republic of Ireland in Lurgan. Teammate Harriet Scott has again been selected for the Republic of Ireland, where the sole focus will be on the Irish derby on Tuesday 19th. Scott will fly out to Dublin on the 13th.

Wales’ Rachel Rowe will fly out to Astana, Kazakhstan on Thursday 14th with her Welsh teammates before facing Kazakhstan on Sunday 17th (1pm BST) in their first qualifying game. Charlie Estcourt, who is currently on loan at Bristol City, will join Rowe for the camp.
