Jade Moore Signs Contract Extension!
“One of the big things for me is enjoying my football, and that’s one of the main reasons for deciding to stay here”.
England player of the year nominee Jade Moore has signed a contract extension with the Royals.
The 26-year old midfielder, who had originally signed with Reading for the Spring Series, has opted to extend her stay with Kelly Chambers' side.
Speaking on her motivations to stay at the club Moore said; “My Spring Series experience was a massive pull. One of the big things for me is enjoying my football, and liking the environment that I’m in, and that’s one of the main reasons for deciding to stay here”. The England international continued; I’d like to say I’m getting to that point in my career where I know what my body needs, know how to physically look after myself, so hopefully with that knowledge it should have an impact on the pitch. Enjoying football is a big thing for me and as long as I can continue to grow and develop and enjoy my football I think that will show in my performances and hopefully I can reach that prime. I think there’s many years to come of developing and seeing where my potential can go”.
When manager Kelly Chambers was asked on the significance of retaining Moore, she said; “Massively important, especially from my point of view. In the Spring Series she came in and I wanted to make sure that we had strength in depth in our squad and she definitely brought us that, she gave us a different dimension to our midfield which I think we needed and experience also. Going into the coming season I’m really excited to work with her, and to push this club in the right direction with her in it”.
Jade Moore was recently shortlisted for England’s player of the year award for her impressive string of performances in the 2017 European Championships. If you have not voted for Jade already, you can do so here.
