Meet our sister clubs

Laurel Park becomes sister club of RFCW

Laurel Park F.C is a community organisation based in Earley and Lower Earley, Reading providing football coaching and competitions for nearly 500 registered players, in almost 30 teams for boys and girls, from under 5s to under 18s.

In 1996, Laurel Park was founded by Keith Humphreys and Ray George, 2 players that had coached elsewhere but felt that there was a gap in grassroots football for those that were younger, less experienced or female. Their ethos being all children should enjoy football no matter their ability, sex or age. Ray and Keith sought the parents approval in 1996 to form Laurel Park F.C.

When the Club started, it only had 18 children of various abilities and age and though it has grown significantly, that sense of belonging remains today. Anyone interested in football no matter the level and experience is welcomed to the club.

Laurel Park has achieved The FA's Charter Standard Award. The Charter Standard Scheme sets standards for coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Premier League and Football League.
