RFCW Included In New FA Sister Club Programme

The Royals have successfully won a bid to start and run a sister club programme throughout the 2016 season.

Reading FC Women have successfully won a grant from the FA that will allow the club to participate in the FA's Sister Club Programme. This new initiative allows grassroots girls clubs to become affiliated with their local WSL club (should the club be participating in this initiative).

This means that girls clubs in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and north Surrey will be able to become an official Reading FC Women sister club. There are two tiers of affiliation; gold and silver.

Benefits of becoming a Reading FC Women Sister Club include (all per season, March – November):

  • Free match day tickets (350 gold and 250 silver)
  • Player Appearances (2 gold and 1 silver)
  • Coaching session from one of our first team players (2 gold and 1 silver)
  • Sister Club Day (gold only)
  • Reading FC Men's tickets (4 gold, 2 silver)
  • FA WSL Mascot Spaces
  • Open training session
  • Open coaching session
  • Exposure on our website
  • Merchandise (i.e. signed team photos signed ball)
  • Inclusion in our sister club Tournament
  • Camps (two one day camps which include coaching sessions and games)
  • FA WSL Sister Club Newsletter (you’ll be part of the nationwide sister club network)
  • Additional Benefits from The FA (such as access to signed England Lionesses shirts)

Gold prices are from £600 and Silver from £400. The price of affiliation varies depending on the size of the club so that smaller clubs are not disadvantaged. The maximum possible cost of affiliation is £900.

If you are a coach or representative of a girls club in the area and are interested in this sister club programme opportunity or would like more information, please e-mail Lisa Meadows at LMeadows@readingfc.co.uk.
