Royals and The Rutherford partner for the Spring Series
Reading Women have agreed a partnership deal with The Rutherford Cancer Centres for the Spring Series.
The Royals have agreed a partnership deal with Rutherford Cancer Centres, specialists in proton-beam cancer therapy. Construction work on The Rutherford’s state of the art Reading cancer centre has started just a stone’s throw away from the Madejski Stadium, with two additional centres opening in Newport and Northumberland.
The Rutherford Cancer Centres, owned by Proton Partners International Limited, are at the forefront of providing innovative cancer care by bringing proton beam therapy to the UK by early 2018 to support traditional cancer treatments. One of the many benefits of the partnership to Reading Women will be brand new fun-zone equipment for our match days at Adams Park, which has always been very popular with children and their families looking for some pre-match fun!
Mike Moran, Chief Executive Officer at The Rutherford said “bringing proton beam therapy to the UK is at the heart of our vision to create a better future for cancer patients. One of our corporate goals is to promote a healthy lifestyle in our communities and I’m sure the partnership with Reading Women will encourage many to become more active”.
Joe Manns, marketing officer at Reading Women said “we’re very excited by the many opportunities this partnership presents, and I’m very happy that we’ve been able to attract a sponsor whose vision is focused around giving cancer patients improved care options as well as supporting healthier lifestyles”.
