Royals to honour Remembrance Sunday with Poppies on shirts
Players will wear poppies on their shirts during Remembrance Sunday's game against Chelsea Ladies.
For the first time in their history, Reading FC Women will host a game on Remembrance Sunday, this weekend against Chelsea Ladies during their Women’s Super League One fixture at Adams Park.
We are delighted to announce that we have been working closely with the Royal British Legion - and will wear Poppies on our shirts to honour the occasion and remember the service men and women who have tragically lost their lives serving their country. Each player will sign their match-worn shirt after the game for a special charity sale with all funds donated to the Royal British Legion. Details on how to buy one of these shirts will be released next week.
Both Reading and Chelsea will of course also be participating in a minute’s silence before the game, which is available to watch on the BBC Red Button. Kick-off at Adams Park is at 12:35pm, and if you haven’t got your tickets yet you can do so here.
